Whether you believe the climate is changing or you believe that climate change is caused by humans or neither, I think it is important that we protect the environment. So...I decided to support World Wildlife Foundation-Australia by donating $50 for each polar bear that I sell.  The polar bear's environment is being affected by the loss of sea ice and I don't want to see polar bears disappear!
On an artistic note, naked raku, the process I use to make these bears, is a western version of the traditional Japanese Raku method of firing ceramics in a reduction kiln.  This causes cracking and flaking of the glaze which is eventually removed.  This process provides unique markings for the sculptures.

The whale tails are 30cm (12") high and are made from clay with various stone bases.
The polar bears are about 20cm (8") long, made from clay, some with bases, some not.
